All of our children are in some kind of countdown mode! You know- that joyful anticipation of a future event that you eagerly look forward to and count down the days until it’s the appointed “TIME”. COUNTDOWN to CELEBRATE. “Mom! Only 48 days until I get married!” Moriah and Jonny- EXCITED “Nehemiah will be 1 […]

To Everything There is A Season

Last Friday and Saturday I was blessed to go to the Believe– Woman of Faith Conference in Kansas City with 7000 other Christian women! But by far the biggest blessing was that all three daughters attended with me. (missed my daughter-in-loves but they are busy in the midst of raising babies and we all know […]
Fully Engaged~ a Promise of What’s To Come

Is there anything more thrilling than God Authoring a Love Story? Our daughter, Moriah, just got engaged! Over the past year of dating, our family has observed, “tested”, evaluated, and subsequently embraced Johnny, as one of our own. 🙂 Kudos to Johnny- he not only approached Jeff and I to ask our blessing and permission […]
What Does our Life Smell like to God?

~
Did you know- God is taking deep breaths- smelling our lives!
When we serve others- our fragrance is perfume to Him.
When we love with His love- He breathes deeply, rejoicing in the zesty savor of our lives!
Our prayers- our praise- our worship- our devotion to Him- is something He delights, revels in, sings and rejoices over.

The Doctor peered intently at the scars. There were five large, irregular shaped “dents” which blemished Moriah’s otherwise flawless skin. He rehearsed the options. “The scars are too deep for microdermabrasion. The pox marks left from your bout with shingles are too big to cut out. It would necessitate me making a long linear scar down the whole middle of your cheek […]
Treasure Tribute *6
Today, I open the treasure chest of memories and celebrate the birthday of our sixth jewel- Moriah Ruth. (not called the wind Mariah- but MOriah- the great mountain of God) My quiver felt full and satisfied when Moriah was born. A little girl again- after three boys, was just what our family needed. While Sarah was […]
“New Life”
NEW LIFE Life springs up, pushes through, reaches and stretches to new places!
“ALL CREATION BOWS”
We were on Family vacation in Colorado Springs and we were sneaking up to gaze and photograph a herd of big horn sheep. I turned to say something to Moriah, and she was down on her knees, taking pictures of a bent over sunflower. I wondered what she “saw” in a flower basically past its […]
Harvest
My Dad loves to tell a story when he was a little boy, people hung their laundry outside on a clothesline to dry. Everyone would help bring in the sheets and clothes. At Thanksgiving time, he was surprised to hear them singing a Thanksgiving hymn that talked about just that! Now he knows the words are […]
Simplicity
This picture reminds me of going to my Grandma’s house! I loved getting her old watering can out, pumping water from the now obsolete water pumps, and watering her flowers; hollyhocks, lily of the valley, gladolias, peonies…. Those times remind me of Simpler days.
Mercy Dewdrops
Like diamonds sparkling on the grass in the morning- such are the mercies and goodness of our God!
