I saw a tweet by Rick Warren the other day that zapped me!

Did you know the average number of thoughts human brains think during their awake time: 52,000! (I think that’s a very conservative estimate- but hey, I’m a girl lol)
52,000 thoughts a day
I wonder how many of my thoughts are about Him?
What if 1 out of 5 thoughts were about Him; His goodness, His faithfulness, His grace, His generosity, His compassion, His salvation?

That would be roughly 10,000 thoughts a day about God! Here’s just a few thoughts to get us kick-started 
*He loved me before I loved Him
*He laid down His life for me
*He has called me out of darkness
*His truth has set me free
*He’s prepared an eternal home for me
*He’s promised to finish His work of salvation in me
*He’s promised no one or nothing can pluck me from His hand
*He intercedes and prays for me daily
*He’s redeemed me from the pit of despair
*He’s clothed me in righteousness
*He’s forgiven my sins and cast them as far as the east is from the west
* He’s committed to forming Christ in me
*He’s purchased my wholeness and healing
*He’s promised me a resurrected body
*He’s given me the Comforter of the Holy Spirit who guides me into truth, convicts me of sin, and comforts me
*He’s given me His peace that has broken down every wall
*He hides me in His strong tower and under His wings I will trust
*His love never gives up on me
*His salvation is more than enough for me!
*His provision is overflowing for me
*He has given me beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning
*He inhabits my praises and has clothed me in His garment of praise
*He is renewing my mind daily
*He has born my shame and exchanged my mourning for dancing
*He has taken me from death to New Life! *……………
And the thoughts could go on and on and on….
But wait- Do you think it might be too difficult to think about God that much during the day? I mean, we have “life” to deal with right? We have to be practical.
Well, think about this:

God thinks about you/me every second of every day; in our waking, in our sleeping- we are on His mind and His thoughts are (rare and precious Message translation) He doesn’t get bored thinking about you and its no chore to Him, either!
Psalm 139:18 tells us “How precious are Your thoughts toward me,
Oh Lord. They are too vast for me to count- more than all the sand of
the seas.”
I think Pastor Warren’s spot on!
Our problem isn’t that we don’t love God enough- our problem is we don’t understand how much He loves us!
Bless the Lord, O my soul!!! O my soul!!! Worship His holy name!!!
Sing like never before O my soul!!!!! I’ll worship Your holy name!!!!
Surprising Treasures: 10,000 Reasons….forevermore
That’s quite a list you prepared for us to ponder, Cindy. And, what a thought, that we just don’t (or cannot) realize how much He loves us! Thank you, my dear – I’m going to take that reminder to bed with me and dwell on it while falling asleep!
And while you’re sleeping, He’s still thinking about you! His love for us is beyond comprehension! Hugs sister
Yesterday was one of those days in family and ministry that it seemed we were suddenly in the path of avalanches coming from five directions. Today His mercies are new once again. Glad I am on His mind. I will keep Him in mine!
I’m relieved to know His thoughts toward me are precious- because my thoughts are frenetic and tangled some days!

This is so good, Cindy! He monopolizes my thoughts throughout the day! To me, He is everywhere: surrounding me, guiding me, correcting me, speaking to me… I’m in constant prayer: do I do this, Lord? should I say this? should I work on this? I pray for my family and friends, and Israel. I contemplate His Word, wanting to understand, wanting to be able to convey what I know and love about Him. Knowing that He thinks about me is humbling and yet, oh so comforting!! What a “treasure” to carry with us all day! What a treasure you are as a friend!
ahhhh! I love your word MONOPOLY! He monopolizes my thoughts too! Twenty years ago- my brain was filled with so many worries, cares, fruitless thinking- Praise Him that He is always renewing us- bringing us to new depths of glory to understand and know Him- as deep calls to deep- we will never comprehend His love and greatness! Cindy, I’ve changed a few things…given some clarity in places. I love what the Lord keeps showing me through this. One more time through with some images I’ve drawn and seeing corrections that need to be made. I’m considering CreateSpace for a number of reasons. Will let you know… you are awesome!
