3-5 Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift?
the fruit of the womb his generous legacy?
Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows
are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
with your quivers full of children!
Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you;
you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.
Psalm 127:3-5
One moment, holding hands, reveling in the mystery of two becoming one. Nine months contemplating the miracle of life. Why did the great Creator grant us partnership in His creation?! What a wonderous miracle! Nine months nurturing that hidden treasure, reflecting with mind-blowing awe, that the Creator of the Universe has taken part of you- and part of your spouse- and is weaving together a unique little person- “bone of your bones, flesh of your flesh”!
The labor, joining together on this journey to parenthood. A struggle, a push, more struggle, more pushing- You breathe- this is it- your last seconds as a couple- one more push! A gasp, a baby’s cry, tears in every eye that witnesses such beauty! Joy unspeakable! Full of glory!
God’s mother lode of all rewards!!! He has made two become one, expanding hearts to include another-
He has made a family.
Now that’s a surprising treasure!

Wish you could see him- I still remember (like yesterday) Nate and Noah playing baseball- what fun days- can’t believe they’re all grown up, serving the Lord and married!
I know Cindy…time does go by so fast…I remember how shy Noah used to be and how Nate was the exact opposite and when Noah came to the first practice ….They turned into fine young Christian men but I feel they had some good examples before them…So happy that they started their family…life will never be the same for them but much more complete
