[Tweet “All #romance is #sacred; for it flows from God’s heart to His people.”]
December 21st, 2014, we celebrated as our son, Joshua, took Amanda to be his lawful wife, and we gained a wonderful, new daughter-in-love. In the age old mystery, the Lord began the work of making two become one.
Notice Josh’s joy – as the bridegroom beholds his bride in all her beauty.
Joining hands and heart, they take their vows.
The bride and bridegroom rejoice!
“Mine!” their hearts cry!
They only had eyes for each other. Sweet Sacredness; completely caught up in this moment.
What they’d been longing for, praying and anticipating, had finally arrived!
The old has passed~ the new has come!
Joining their life journeys, knit together by God’s love:

In our culture, the focus is usually on the Bride. The extreme preparation and festivities have birthed many magazines and even a TV show- Say Yes to the Dress. Add to that a Pinterest pinning board and brides can to ponder and plan to their hearts content.
But in the Bible, the focus is on both the bride- who is to be preparing herself for the greatest day of her life. And the Bridegroom- who is preparing to perfection the eternal home He has prepared for her!
As Josh and Amanda gazed at each other, their joy palpable, I couldn’t help but get a glimpse of the joy that awaits us all when our Bridegroom finally comes to get His bride- the church.
Preparation- longing- Daily perfuming ourselves in His fragrance, adorning ourselves with His beauty and gifts of grace- we wait in eager anticipation of the most epic wedding event of all time!

Our Bridegroom is coming. Let us rejoice and be glad! The old life will pass and the new will come. He will be our God and we will be His bride.
Forever loved.

Revelation 19:7
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
New Living Translation
It is the bridegroom who marries the bride, and the best man is simply glad to stand with him and hear his vows. Therefore, I am filled with joy at his success.

Good reason for this man to be in love with his Bridegroom. Such a mysterious, wondrous hope!

I love this!!
When my son was married last year, as everyone caught a glimpse of the bride as she emerged, I kept my eyes on my son to see his reaction. My heart was filled with great joy as he saw her in all her beauty and like you, I thought…wow… God is going to LOVE seeing us as we approach Him!!
congrats my sweet friend!

Isn’t that so true Marie?! Our daughter, Moriah, got married this past July (2014) and of course, all eyes were on her- but I kept my eyes on Josh and it was just too precious for words. My little man- now a man in his own right- standing to receive his bride. Beautiful. hugs Marie
