[Tweet “The beginning point of #healing is recognizing you’re #sick. #wholeness”]
Jesus said He had come not for the healthy but for the sick. I’m done pretending I’m O.K.
My choices, my fallen state, and “Life”- these things work together to disable me; spiritually, mentally, &/or physically.
What about you? Do you ever feel broken and disabled, soul sick?
You’re not alone! Until that new day when God makes all things new, brokenness is the reality. No one has a perfect life.
We are all disabled by sin, sickness, and suffering.
But this I know- God- has come to me in my limitations. He has demonstrated He is friend and Savior!
He has proved it over and over that He will not leave me broken or disabled!
[Tweet “Only our #Creator has the ability to #restore our lives to #wholeness!”]
He has shown His heart to me and assured me it is not His will that I should perish.
He comes to me in my depression and shouts into my tomb- like he did to Lazarus- “Come forth”!
[Tweet “God wants to unwind the grave clothes of our depression, disabilities, and doubt.”]
He aggrandizes my brokenness. He is forming my crippled feet into hinds feet. He is giving me beauty for the ashes of my life. He is anointing my head with His oil of joy, even in my sufferings, and my cup overflows. And when life comes to disable me again and again- it can never destroy me- because my Savior keeps on saving me!
He has and is and always will overcome death with His life.
He is full of righteousness and justice- tender mercies and compassion!
In a process I can’t fathom, God is transforming us to wholeness! He is daily demonstrating, in a personal way:
He is making all things new!
[Tweet “We all need #salvation- from #death, #disappointments, #doubts, and #disabilities.”]
He is Salvation from the “deaths”, “disappointments” and “disabilities” of this life!
He is the Renewer and Restorer of ALL things broken!
He is the Disabler of All Disabilities!
Whether it feels like it or not, every moment of every day, the truth is Jesus is disabling our limitations and weakness because He is Love. And Love never fails! He who began this good work in us is going to complete it!
Surprising Treasures: I John 4:9-20
9God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
11Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
13And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. 14Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 16We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 17And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.
18Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 19We love each otherb because he loved us first.
OH, how I needed this!!
me too, Serena! He is and will continue to pour in His life and cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus- whether it feels like it or not- TRUTH! blessings and hugs!

xx Joy- amazing love- amazing grace! I love that He is doing a “perfect” work- He will not shortchange us- lovingly- patiently- from deep to deep and glory to glory! We can rest – it is His work of love! hugs and blessings Joy!
