If there is one thing I’ve learned in 53 years of living…..
I can’t do life alone. I need Jesus!
I need Him every hour! I need Him every decision!
I need Him to cope, to love more fully, to see more clearly, to be my filter of this polluted world. I need His fire to purify, His wisdom to anchor, His Word to establish me in Truth. I need His presence to surround me and His purposes to guide me.
I cannot do life alone! I NEED JESUS!
Maybe, just maybe, that’s what all the trials and challenges,
the “giants” and “pits” are about.
By themselves, they destroy us.
In God’s loving hands, they transform us!
Prayer for 2013-
~Our Father~
Thank you for bringing us this far! Thank you for charting the path ahead- for going before us, behind us, and keeping your hand of blessing on our head! (Psalm 139:1-7, Isaiah 45:2, Duet. 31:8)
Give us strength and courage to live life to the fullest; to not shrink back in fear and doubt, but to rise up in the power of your Spirit!
Remind us of your faithfulness.
Return us to your promises.
Revision us for the future.
Refill us with your Spirit.
Refit us for your kingdom’s work.
Refresh us from our weariness.
Revisit us with your presence.
Renew our passion for you!
In Jesus’ Mighty Name- Amen!
Remember- the God of Angel Armies is on YOUR Side!- Whom Shall I Fear- by Chris Tomlin
Great post!
The late President Reagan once said during a time of crisis, “I do not believe in a fate that will fall on us no matter what we do. I do believe in a fate that will fall on us if we do nothing.” In reading the news and observing the times and seasons I am convinced that inaction will have consequences. We cannont afford to let fate fall on us while we nothing. We must tap into the power and resources of our loving Savior and Priest King–Jesus Christ. I mentioned yesterday that for too many of us life is something that happens while we are doing “other things.” We really need to take control of the “other things” so that we can be doing the right things! The Tomlin song above is a motivating one! May God show us how to live in the strength of His faithfulness in 2013.
Amen- If I started thinking the wrong way- I’d be afraid to step into 2013- But with the God of Angel Armies as my friend- I will not only step forward- I will skip, leap, dance, and run to His promises!
I join you in this powerful prayer, Cindy! Thank you for these words of strength as we enter this new year.
Wishing you a blessed and joyful New Year! And through Christ, may 2013 be the best year ever!
May He strengthen us all- to stand in the gap and be a watchman on the wall- proclaiming His truth and love until He comes! Hugs Rita! love ya
Hugs and much love to you, Cindy!
