Ever since Bethany was little, I’ve taught her- With God, nothing is impossible!

But Beth, Finley, Cohen and I have been talking about there are some characteristics that are impossible for God   (*we’ve included the scriptures to prove it 😉

Be blessed reading about God’s amazing goodness love! He is perfect in all His ways.

    teach me your decrees.

Deuteronomy 32:4

He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”

Jeremiah 32:29

“They shall be My people, and I will be their God;and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always, for their own good and for the good of their children after them. “I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.…

Colossians 1:15-20

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.  For by  Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.  And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,  and through Him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

I love the “personality” of God. He will always be God and in that sense He will retain His own mysteries, but He is faithful, trustworthy, knowable, and not hidden!!! Acts 17.

I’m glad you boldfaced “I will not forget you!” I went looking for more boldfaced signs, but not seeing any more, I had to be sure I didn’t miss any of the seven things that are impossible for God. Sneaky way to make us dig into Bible study, dear Cindy! 🙂

Here’s what I found. Correct me if I missed something else!
    1. God does nothing wrong, He does only what’s good and right.
    2. God does not change. He doesn’t change His mind.
    3. God does not forget us.
    4. Darkness is impossible for God, because He is Light (and omnipresent!)
    5. He cannot be unfaithful.
    6. God will not turn away or abandon His children.
    7. God’s Word does not return void.

Yes! I love it! I actually made a much bigger list but thought I’d overwhelm people. It’s so amazing to study His character- I love the thought that He can’t forget us! What love! I started out to make each one numbered, then I went back and changed them to tweets. I think I’ll go back and put numbers on them to make it easier. You got them though- A+ dear Edy! (In fact, I’m sure you can think of other “impossible” things-

God has never forsaken me, I’m my darkest hours his love has always been there for me. I would lay down my life for Him, without question, and without hesitation, I live for Him, my life is not my own, but His, always, and forever!

[panel style=”default” title=”About Cindy” text_align=”left”]Jeff & Cindy

Hi, I’m Cindy- 35 years of “livin” with my prince charming, Jeff. I’m a home maker, not a house wife, parent of 7, memory maker, mama bear, Nana to 11 & counting, Pastor’s wife and I’m daily amazed by the depths of God’s love.

I love reading, home schooling, encouraging others, playing the piano, worshiping, dating my husband, and planning parties and retreats for our clan. Someday, I really want a horse and learn to play the cello and viola.
