ya·da ya·da noun \ˈyä-də-ˈyä-də\\-ˈyä-də\: talk or language that is boring or that offers little information
s
I want to lavishly YADAH and have my words and actions be substantive!

Yadah is a Hebrew verb with a root meaning “to throw” out praise and thanksgiving or “to extend the hand in worship.
In fact, Yadah with an H at the end is the antithesis of the word yada.
s
Eventually, Yadah also came to denote songs of praise—to lift up the voice in thanksgiving—to tell forth and confess his greatness (e.g., Psalms 43:4). II Chronicles 20:19-20 is the yadah type of praise.
w
The antonym of YADAH to bemoan by wringing of the hands. – that is another blog for another day! 🙂
[Tweet ” Stop throwing out meaningless yada- start throwing up some powerful praise- YADAH!”]
Got some worries? YADAH! Throw up those hands and shout out some praise!
Are you downhearted and discouraged? YADAH!
Filled with anxiety and stress? YADAH!
Wondering how you’re going to face another day? YADAH!
No matter how bad life gets- let’s remember that God is GOOD!
Let’s not waste or words or life on boring, meaningless, trivialities: yada, yada, yada
Let’s throw up our hands and praise- YADAH! YADAH! YADAH!

Psalm 66:1-5
New Living Translation (NLT)
Psalm 66
For the choir director: A song. A psalm.
1 Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!
2 Sing about the glory of his name!
Tell the world how glorious he is.
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
4 Everything on earth will worship you;
they will sing your praises,
shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude
5 Come and see what our God has done,
what awesome miracles he performs for people!

When we are connected to the Head we will be overflowing with thankfulness! Colossians 2:4
Thank you for the Hebrew lesson; I love learning more!
🙂 Well- Hebrew isn’t my forte but I think it’s interesting to see how two closely related words- can be so totally different. I want to make sure I’m YadaH- verb- actively praising instead of offering yada- trivial,…
Hope you’re having a wonderful summer Edy! Did you and Howard do something fun for your anniversary? xo
You’re a sweetie. We went on a double date supper outing with our anniversary “twins,” my brother and his wife.
That sounds so wonderful!
