So whatever you’re doing for Thanksgiving- Just remember- thanks giving is a verb!
May the Lord Bless You all and keep you – may our thanks giving be as a symphony of Praise!
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Colossians 3:17

…speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
Ephesians 5:20
If we weighed our gratefulness against our complaint-fullness I am concerned that too often the complaint-fullness column would be the longest. This week and beyond I plan to work at reversing that.
We will enter His gates with thanks giving in our hearts! We have so much to be thankful for babe.
Love how you separated Thanks and Giving! Great post, Cindy. I love making Thanksgiving a Verb! xo
Thanks Julie! I’m focusing on my heart being full of thanks instead of my belly lol. Hugs and Happy Giving Thanks Day!
I will enter His courts with praise. Such an awesome song. I am praying that while the tornados that hit on 11/17/13 were utterly devasting, that people will see how much God is at work during this recovery period. I am so grateful to be able to witness people coming together to help the tornado victims get back on their feet. God is so good! Did you know that the mayor of one of the towns hit said that the reason there was only one fatality was because people were in church!
Happy Thanksgiving Theresa! I Did you know that town is where Mike and Melody and my 4 nieces were from? They don’t live there now but their childhood home is totally gone. That town is one of the most Christian towns I know- united across denominational lines- blessings to you and yours Theresa! hugs
Thanking the Lord for you, Cindy! Jeff’s reminder is another good one for me. Thankfulness = Joy, while Grumbling = Misery for ourselves and others. Oh, that we all learn to give thanks in everything, knowing it is God at work in us both to will and to do for His good purposes! Have a glorious Thanksgiving holiday, Barclay family!
I’m thankful for you! You have truly been His light in my heart- chasing away confusion and fear! Thank you for shining so brightly for Him and not hiding your light under a bushel. Thankful for your encouragement and words of wisdom too! hugs to you all! Happy Thanksgiving!
I knew that they lived here for a while” I didn’t know how long they lived here. I am currently living in my childhood home with Mom so she can stay at home. The tornado was just a little less than a mile away from Mom’s house. I keep smiling when people bring up the fact that the reason there were 2 fatalities was because people were at church. Glory to God!
