Measuring TIME is tricky!
Ten minutes in a car can seem like an hour.
A fabulous day flies by
while a dreary day drags depressingly along.

Cohen and I were looking at tree house pictures on Pinterest the other day. I said wistfully, “Cohen, when we’re on the New Earth, after God makes it all brand new, Nana wants to live in a big tree house, the Swiss Robinson kind and I want you to live right by me so we can play every day!”
My precious grandboy responded so sincerely, “Oh Nana, I can build you one- I got the plans all in my mind. Poppi can help me. And Nana, I want to live on your roof so I can see the stars all de time.”
“That would be awesome, Cohen! It’s a deal.”
He smile stretched from ear to ear and then he asked the inevitable.
“But Nana, when we gonna get der?”
Ahhhhh-the question of the ages.
All in God’s good and perfect time.
SURPRISING TREASURE: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.
wow Cindy…this is my feeding for the day!!!You never fail to bring life to your posts. Loved it and you tell Coen that his tree house will be awesome and he will be able to sit on the roof if he wants to…
love that little boy!!
He is so precious! The things He imagines! and His faith in God just fill me with joy. I can’t wait to see what kind of tree house he builds me. LOL hugs Charlene!
He’s listening to you because that night he told me all about the new earth and his treehouse plans, so cool & precious’ (and wanted to know why we couldn’t go there yet.) I said God is getting it ready for the right time, and he said “i could go help” then I said no one lives there yet, and I wanted him here on this earth with me for a long long time! And he said “well yeah, I don’t want to go there without you and Fin” 😉 Thank you for teaching him in such a fun way when I can’t be there! So blessed.
He is way beyond his years! 🙂 Guess I need to stress again that “it’s in the “God future”. We were talking about how cool it would be someday, because everyone will love everyone, animals will be kind and nice and no bugs will bite us. Cool! The best thing is, we’re all on the road trip together and we’ll all get there (the New Earth) at the same time. hugs
Should we tell Cohen about the night we had coyotes under us as we slept in our “clubhouse” in Galesburg? Or the time we looked out the kitchen window and there was a deer drinking from “Lake Barclay” beside the clubhouse in the backyard? Cohen and I really need a treehouse soon. He needs a place to see the stars. I need a place up high from which to practice shooting my bow. I missed from ten yards last Sunday night. In all seriousness… How awesome it is to know that this life is not all there is for us to be together- but I sure am enjoying living it with all of you so I don’t necessarily want to rush into the next one. :-))
I have no doubt in my mind that our great adventure will only continue to expand throughout all time- as Elizabeth Barret Browning said, “THE BEST IS YET TO BE!”
Ooooh – goosebumps, here! The treehouse picture is a beautiful illustration of our dwelling in Christ Jesus – the Tree of Life! Imagine one of those huge trees, with a dwelling on every branch. Then we can be neighbors! I love your conversations with the little ones around you. Thanks so much for sharing with the rest of us. 🙂
That is a beautiful pic- thanks for expanding it- We love talking about what the new earth will be like- 🙂 I’d love to be neighbors<3 Can you imagine the pristine eden we'll get to experience! We can go exploring together :). hugs
