We’re celebrating a day early this year- yet Christmas is the season I intentionally don’t pin all my hopes and expectations on the perfection of our celebration, rather focus on the One who is PERFECT! CHRIST is Christmas and it is only the BEGINNING of the end. I hold Christmas in my heart until my King finally comes again to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found and He rules the world with truth and peace!
CHRISTMAS is the entry point-
the beginning of the greatest rescue plan mankind has ever or will ever see! It doesn’t matter to me that December 25th probably isn’t the exact date of His It matters that we Come and Worship and open our hearts to His healing, transforming power to give the sons of earth SECOND BIRTH! A fresh start- a new beginning- healing and wholeness- release from the curse- a metamorphasis of the most spiritual kind!
I love each and every one of you- my fellow sojourners in this life between the trees! I pray you will be touched by His presence as you open your presents this year! Below is a video where Bethany reads to you a small part of the most fantastic true story- ever told. God bless you all and have a Merry Christmas!!!! (don’t worry- we’re still celebrating FEAR NOT days until Epiphany! 🙂 )
Never forget YOU are His most surprising treasure! In His amazing love that never ends- Cindy
Years ago, in Galesburg, IL, we were having a late night Christmas Eve service. A young mom came in… “Pastor it’s great to see you and everyone else tonight, but I really need to ‘see’ Jesus.” Noah (4 or 5)smiled, looked puzzled and mouthed to me, while pointing to the nativity set in front of the pulpit, “He’s over there.”
One of his little buddies in on the “conversation” said, “No, she’s talking about the real Jesus, the one who died.” The mother smiled at me and looked at the boys, “Yep, that’s the one.” I reminded them, ” Well, He’s alive tonight though.” That little story illustrates the rescue plan. He came as a baby, lived as a man, died as our substitute and lives today as a our Savior. Merry Christmas! *By the way I am always so proud when I hear Bethany read. Her mom is a fantastic teacher.
*Bethany’s mommy is a very good teacher! 🙂
I love this gem, Cindy: “CHRISTMAS is the entry point—the beginning of the greatest rescue plan mankind has ever or will ever see!” Bravo for Emmanuel – God with us! We are blessed beyond measure 🙂
Amen- I’m always blown away when I think of every other religion- their “god” demands working toward them, sacrificing, fearfully waiting his anger or pleasure… OUR GOD drew near us and sacrificed Himself for us! Unbelievablely AWESOME!
