My Dad loves to tell a story when he was a little boy, people hung their laundry outside on a clothesline to dry. Everyone would help bring in the sheets and clothes.  At Thanksgiving time, he was surprised to hear them singing a Thanksgiving hymn that talked about just that!  Now he knows the words are “Bringing in the Sheaves” NOT Bringing in the Sheets!

Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness, Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve; Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves. Refrain
