For the happy heart, life is a continual feast.
Proverbs 15:15
Woot! Woot! Road trip to Kansas City, ready to have some fun- cranking up awesome Christian music, the five of us- Jeff, Josh, Moriah, Bethany and I- were letting our cares fly out the van windows as we looked forward to an afternoon of shopping, malling, and the go out for dinner.
BBB-buchuchu, B chuchu BduhBduh, Boom tsh tsh tsh!

Jeff looked in the rear view mirror to try to locate where the strange noises were coming from and then panicked when he saw Bethany with both hands clasped over her mouth, rocking back and forth, her eyes wide.
“Bethany! Are you OK? Beth!! Are you ok?”
Voice loud and stressed, he was alarmed she was choking or worse yet a seizure or something- (actually the tension from the day hadn’t left him yet so he perhaps he was still a little bit wired, or maybe it was the extra strength coffee he drinks. LOL)
Josh and Moriah broke out laughing, informing him, “Dad! Bethany is beat boxing, Dad!”
Eyes twinkling, Bethany “turned up her vocal volume”, beat boxing in earnest now. No fair, she shouldn’t have all the fun- so we all joined in on our own variations of drum sounds.
And that event kicked off our afternoon of family fun!
The first stop of extreme fun was Kohls- ahh the 30 percent off coupon! I’m convinced it’s the only place you can save twice as much money as you spend. I mean, how much fun is that? Next stop- the mall and some serious bargain hunting. Must I again point out – FUN!? We ended by meeting at the Bungee jumping (not to be confused with head first bungee jumping). Bethany was giddy to try her hand at it. She handed her money to the attendant, stepped right up to the trampoline area and let him strap her in the harness. And viola- ready to jump. Delight bathed her face as she jumped higher and higher. She threw her head back laughing with pure joy as we watched and took pictures. Then came to awful part.
Her time expired- done- kaput- over. 🙁
She wanted to do it again. She just knew she could do a flip if we let her try it again.
I’m afraid I don’t have a profound, deep revelation today. Unless………. What if one of God’s surprising treasures in life is learning to have pure fun? 🙂
Surprising Treasure: Proverbs 15:13- The Message- “A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face;
a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day” and Proverbs 17:22- “A merry heart is better than medicine.”
Loved this one Cindy…and Beth sure has more courage and stamina than most. That has to be one of her talents and gifts…Meeting head on the challenges she faces….Yep that girl is going to be fine as she blasts through her trials in life. You cant help but admire her and know that God touches her daily. Give her a big Robinson hug from all the Robinson family 😉
This was crazy fun. Can you imagine what her bravery level must be. Family support is what is all about. She has such good examples. Love you all – you’re such fun. A Mary
I will Charlene- she literally knows no fear 🙂 Her biggest challenge is not understanding when people leave (which there is a lot of coming and going here 🙂 ) We’re working on it though-
You can actually see the joy on her face 🙂 Love it…..
She was giddy- be sure to tell JayCee- I want to take them both next time. Hugs-
Wow! Bethany is the man. Well… Woman. Ok shes Da Bomb.
That’s a big brother talking- proud brother! Hugs Micah
Cindy Boo, I still think you should take your show on the road. You have such a beautiful “God Given” way of expressing your life and that of your family. I’m like others that have replied I look for your inspirational messages. Keep them coming. Love ya, A Mar
