[box] It’s not just that God transform us into something unbreakable and tough: Through His process, He forms us into a thing of beauty and usefulness.[/box]
Diamonds are the most brilliant colorless stone, a reflector of light!
A diamond’s intense brilliance is due to its density (the amount of atoms packed into it) Dare I say my Christian intensity and brilliance is due to my density? (the amount of God’s Spirit I’ve allowed to be “packed” into my structure and essence.)
Diamonds reflect light better than any other colorless substance.
They reflect, not generate light. I have no ability to generate light but I get excited to think that if The Light of the World is living in me, His love should be reflected through me. (I guess I’d better keep my “windows” clean 🙂 )
Diamonds are … fiery.
Oh yeah! That’s what I’m talkin’ about. I want to be fiery!! The diamond’s density gives it “fire”—the ability to refract light in a dazzling rainbow of colors. As white light slows down, it bounces around inside the diamond, then scatters into a fiery spectrum.
How do you write a loud resounding “YES” with fist pumped high in the air? I want to “refract, reflect, and scatter light” for Him. I want His light to shine, then bounce around in my spirit- scattering His fiery love to to others.
And Diamonds are surprisingly useful.
As a mineral, diamonds have some unusual properties with practical applications. Most diamonds cannot conduct electricity, which makes them good insulators. They’re used in lasers, surgical tools and only the hardest diamonds can be used to cut other diamonds.
The analogies are endless, and because of time, let it suffice to say- a diamond is an incredible substance to be turned into.
I’m so excited to read the insights God is giving you, Cindy. I love this!
